<p>I have a question concerning changing majors within the same department. I got accepted as a junior transfer student in Mechanical Engineering, but now I want to change my major to Electrical Engineering. </p>
<p>Since both majors are in the College of Engineering, will I still need to wait after 1 quarter? Or can I make the change during summer orientation?</p>
<p>I'm pretty sure that regardless of college, you need to wait 1 quarter.</p>

<p>Yes you need to wait one quarter to establish a student record before you can change your major. Also check with the college of engineering about the major change to make sure there are no additional requirements needed.</p>
