I got an email from UCs asking me to answer some questions and also saying they would be interested in some letters of recommendation. Anyone else get this email? Any idea what it means?

The only reason I can think of for them to ask for letters of recommendation is that you’re eligible for a scholarship or something.

UC Davis & Irvine are requesting supplemental information this year from some applicants (which is similar to what UC Berkeley does). Some applicants will receive a form requesting supplemental information (which can be due to talent, disability, or if your application is borderline). Information submitted in the supplemental questionnaire becomes a part of your application packet and is factored into admission decisions. You might want to check out the UC Berkeley board for more information, as the topic has been discussed thoroughly.

So did I leave something out on my app or do they just want to know more about me?

They want to know more about you.

@Appleteam Get them what they ask for ASAP. You are obviously in the short list of the applicants and there could be many reasons for asking for this additional information.

I’ve got a question too. I reported my senior grades on mine already, but since then my grade was not final at the time, they told me to estimate it.
Now that my grade is changed, how do I contact them about this?

Can someone help me? I’m stressing out like crazy. I got the supplement app but I have to submit my teachers info for the letter of rec AFTER all the questions. I want to do the best possible job on the questions so it can take a while and I hear from my friends that the teacher I asked to submit my letter of rec takes forever to do them. I know i posted this already but does the letter of rec have a different time table? If not what happens if its a few days late?

since this is something that davis just started doing this year, probably nobody on this board can help you. call the admissions office and someone there should be able to help. don’t rely on high school rumors. go directly to the source for the best information (the source being ucd’s admissions office).
