Intended major, Biology or Marine biology
SAT- took twice … 1640 I give up with the SAT and im doing the ACT on practice ACT I get around 30
so ignore the SAT and focus on the ACT 30-31
Sat2 math level 2 (600) BioM (610)
Took 6 APs ( Human geography(2:/) Biology(3) Calculus AB (5) Calculus BC (5) Physics C Mech (4) Psychology (5)
If it isnt obvious from the Aps and scores … im a math and science type of person, no idea why i took ap history anything knowing i suck and hate history. the 2 might lower my chances now
EC: 300 hours
Thespians all 4 years
Key club 11th and 12th
National science honor society 12th
Environmental club 12th
Greeter at church
volunteered for a police summer camp 10th grade
volunteered for 2 elementary schools 9th & 10th
and also did summer interning for my high school

<p>The two things that might bring you down are you GPA and your impacted major. I’d have to say low reach</p>

<p>contrary to what scderek4 said, considering UCD wants more people of yours and other underrepresented ethnicities, i think you have a good chance of getting admitted to Davis with a 3.8 UWgpa and a 30-31 ACT. just make sure you convince them in your essay!</p>

<p>Ok thank you thank you ! … But ok one last question ! … How does undecided work ? … Like is it you submit undecided and than once you get accepted than say you want to transfer … Or do you have to wait like a year or so before you transfer ?</p>

<p>You can change/declare your major winter quarter your first year, assuming you meet the requirements. Some majors require you to complete certain courses with a minimum GPA to declare the major.</p>

<p>Will your parents be able to afford OOS tuition? I question the practice ACT score you got based on your SAT score. Do not count on getting a 30. With a low unweighted GPA and below average (for UC Davis) SAT score this would make UCD a medium reach for you.</p>

<p>I have done research and the oos tuition for UCD is about 50-55 thousand right ? … How much financial aid does out of state get typically ? … The ACT practice test I have taken have all been past real ACT test … So I trust there very reliable
My unweighted Gpa is due to my freshmen year … I have a big upward trend</p>

<p>dw about your freshmen year, UC’s count only sophomore and junior year gpa, so ur UC GPA should be higher!</p>

<p>For oos, a friend of mine is receiving around 22,000 from the university with pell grant money included. That leaves her with about 30,000 to pay on her own or in loans. I am not sure what the average amount is for oos students, but I figured maybe this could help you out a bit as far as an estimation at least.</p>
