Hi, has anyone transferred to UCD CS program via TAG?

I'm just wondering if IGETC is needed for it, and how important prereqs are. On my assist page with my CC, I'll have finished all my prereqs except 1 by Spring 2014, will that still allow me to do TAG? My GPA right now is a 3.51, I'll have 31 units completed after my summer classes, and I'm planning on doing my TAG this fall.

Also, is it bad that my CC only has 1 programming class that's on the assist page? The others say non comparable or no course articulated.

EDIT: If I am doing computer science, would it be better for me to take the computer science classes at my CC that aren't on the assist page versus my GE/IGETC classes?

Does every UC say that about the CS classes or do some accept them? You’d want to contact someone at UCD about assist.org saying the CS classes are not articulated; they may ask for syllabi and decide on a class-by-class basis.

How come on the UCD tag site it says IGETC is not required to qualify for TAG? It also says its recommended for applicants that are planning to get a BA, while I’m trying to to get a BS in college of letters and science.

@derse: Other UCs do have the cs classes at my school, but I really want to go to Davis and I took the only programming class it has on its assist page

Because my counselor said it was needed, but on the site said it wasn’t. I’m asking to confirm and see if other students did TAG for college of letters and sciences without IGETC
