UCD Fall Admissions 2011

Congratulations! I should’ve put undeclared maybe a better chance of getting but who knows! Davis your first choice? What other UCs did you get in to?

Thanks!
I applied to Irvine, Davis, San Diego, and Santa Barbara.
I only got into UC Davis though, but its all good!
This is WAY more than I expected.
I was 100% sure I wasn’t going to get into ANY.

I think they might saw something in you to deserve a spot! Just sent my appeal on UCD but if it fails UCSC or UCM are my back up schools. I know a couple of people from my school who appealed to UCD and was granted. I got rejected to UCB and UCD well not a shocker for me though. Good luck!

Thank you I’m really happy.
Good luck with that I wish you the best.
Regardless of where you attend, I’m sure you’ll do great if you work hard!

I got rejected :frowning: 1990 ,3.85 uw, 4.0 w

But I got in: UCSD, UCSB, UCI, UCSC

So basically I dont really care because there was no way I was ever going to pick Davis out of my other choices (mostly because it is so far away from home and nowhere near the beach  )

Kinda sucks still, but congrats everyone!

Im in. 1900 sat. 4.65 w.

@coffee2011 Are you in-state or out of state?

kumitedad: good question. i’d guess that coffee’s a california resident. the minimum to be considered UC-eligible for in-state is 3.0 (unweighted)–out of state is 3.5 (?). i looked on the site, and i guess a very few students with GPAs below minimum are admitted under special circumstances. so i guess coffee’s a special circumstance…

I think its 3.0 UCGPA for eligibility (son BARELY made it), but coffee must still be pretty special!

General comments/congratulations/venting,etc: I have no clue how I was accepted really. Some of my friends who applied to the college of engineering with ACTs of 33 and 2000 SAT I’s were denied. They also had plenty of extracurriculars along with sports. In contrast, I played no sports and did no community service at all. I didn’t win any awards and held one measly cabinet position for a single year. My SAT scores are weak(CR and W both low 500s) and my course load was not much. I’m shocked and believe that I don’t belong at Davis because my friends would do so much better. And no, I was not ELC-admitted.

I am VERY excited and happy! I feel very blessed to get accepted into UC Davis! I was on a rejection spree and was losing faith/hope in everything. My acceptance/rejections went in this order…

Cal Poly San Luis Opispo (Accepted)>Sacramento State (Accepted)>UCLA (Rejected)>San Diego State University (Rejected)>UCSB (Rejected)>UCB (Rejected)>UC Irvine (Rejected)>Cal Poly Pomona (Accepted)>UC Davis (Accepted)

People with much higher stats than me at my school (and this board) got waitlisted or flat our rejected so this is a blessing and will definitely be attending in the Fall! So excited! I’ve already submitted my SIR and signed up for orientation, i’m so happy =]

I got accepted as a fall transfer from Texas Christian University and I’m BEYOND excited!!! Congrats to everyone!! :)
