UCD Housing

well that’s where the problem is lol SB has a better physics department but Davis is better for pre-med (apparently) so WHO knows where I will be lol

@shellbelltaylor I’m having the same dilemma as you. Small college town vs Beach scene

I have always lived in big cities so I don’t know if i can fit in at UCD…

it’s frustrating isn’t it! I can thing of pros and cons for each! I think I will just have to go visit both campuses ( I haven’t been in like a year) then maybe I’ll have an epiphany…

Unfortunately it looks like transfers who want to live in the residence halls are confined to Castillian Hall: [UC Davis Student Housing: Transfer Student Residence Hall Option](http://www.housing.ucdavis.edu/prospective/transfers_2010_RH.asp)

dude u shoulda applied to UCLA.

I know, I regret it. I’ve been telling people I didn’t apply and they’re all giving me sideways glances… It was a mistake not applying, I’ll admit it. At least on here I will.

hahahahaha at least u know when ur wrong bro.

If you wanna do crazy dumb things with no consequences then all you gotta do is join a frat.

Those rooms look WAY too much like my dorms in the military, I’ll be living in downtown Daivs, lol…

@NCB316: I was just thinking the same thing

http://images.topix.com/gallery/up-S6HL0B5VC96AT891.jpg

… I’m not really the frat type. The whole brotherhood thing carries too much responsibility for me.

Yes, but those under the impression that they can ‘preference’ their housing choices are incorrect. If you want to live in the residence halls, they stick you in Cuarto. Believe it or not, I wanted to be with the freshmen (since I’m a young transfer) instead of a bunch of sociopathic, antisocial transfer students…

Might be time to grow up then. That whole “wanna get in trouble” crap probably should stay in your high school days.

sociopathic antisocial transfer students hahahaha

cooldude6 u speak sense! ;)

@Dark Wow, I hope I’m not that bitter after transfer.

@Cool I was exaggerating, if not only kidding. I’m a pretty quiet person, but I just like to “be me” in the ways that big city anonymity allows.

Don’t let this thread turn silly, chance for some good info in here. If anyone knows Davis well, let us know please.

Might be looking for roommate as well.

Sounds good. I like the whole small town, stay on campus thing because I think it will keep me focused on school. Whether or not I am drunk at a house party or studying my a$$ off in the library, at least I’ll still be at school.

Castilian hall is closing this year guys

on and off campus apartments r available

new res hall opening in fall tho, so idk if/where transfers can dorm

I’ll be 21 by the time the fall semester starts & I’m going to find an apartment either in Davis or in Sac, since it’s only about 15-20 mins away. My husband and I are planning to move up there either in late June or July since there should be a lot of openings around then and it’ll beat the rush of people moving later in the summer. The only bad side about moving early is that I’ll have to put up with the summer heat -.- 95 degrees in July and August…
