I got in with a 2.8gpa. Then on the conditions it says to maintain a 2.8gpa, although I am hoping I got an A in calculus a B in eng and a C in chem.. worst scenario is a B C and C which is below a 2.8gpa and bringing my cumulative down. Are they likely to revoke my admission? Should I report my worst scenario now? or wait for the official grades? Don't hate =(

I believe you can’t transfer in with anything less than a 2.8; I think it’s a general cut off point (either that or a 2.4 is). But in my mind, these people mean what they say. More than likely, the person reviewing the final grades will be a stooge (no offense to any stooges out there) objectively verifying you met the requirements and rescinding you if you didn’t – without a thought given to your prior GPA.

Wait for the official grades. Should they turn out bad, appeal to your professors.

dang this harshh what if I drop to a 2.79gpa after this spring grades out and I take a transferable summer school course that I listed on my application to raise the GPA…

In my case, Admissions told me that if I don’t meet the 2.8 requirement I’m good as long as I don’t get any D’s or F’s.

hahaha ivy, i love you only because that really made feel better =) hopefully they’ll give me that response once I receive my official grades.

Oh ivy when you reported your grades what did you say or leave in the comment box?

Hmm. I thought I’d saved my letter but I guess not. But I explained that I would get a possible C in one of my classes and wanted to know if it would affect my acceptance. I told them my gpa would be below a 2.8 but I would not fail any classes this semester and asked if that was okay. They responded with “A C is fine, but to meet your conditions of admission you must not receive any D or F grades Spring Semester.” At first this made me super happy but now I think I might get a D in that same class So I dunno.

FYI my C/D class is non-transferable though, so that may be why. You should just lay out the situation and explain any extenuating circumstances as well as what you’re willing to do to fix it (retake the class over summer, etc)

Edit: And I haven’t actually reported my grades yet because I won’t get them until some time next week. I just told them what was going on in the little comment box.
