Regents Scholars at Davis get $7500 per year (which is like half of the annual tuition fee!), adding up to $30k over 4 years. That’s the most out of all of the UCs – for Irvine and Berkeley, it’s $2500/year and for LA and SD, it’s $2000 per year.

I don’t think Davis is particularly wealthy compared to the other UCs, so why do they offer so much more? Do they invite fewer people to be Regents Scholars, so they can give each person more?

I received almost 9k in regent for UC Davis. I was so surprised. They also gave me 9k of University Grant but I received no loans. Maybe they don’t give out loans and that’s why they give more in regent?

spnlove, that’s awesome! You probably applied for FAFSA then, right? $7500 is the minimum, guaranteed amount for even people who don’t file the FAFSA.
Hmm, maybe that’s why. It’s a really nice benefit! (:

Yes I applied for FAFSA! UC Davis definitely looks better than some of the other UCs in terms of tuition fee
