<p>I thought that the supplemental meant that you were underqualified on stats for UCB, but they see potential in other areas of your app...</p>

<p>I think the supplemental means that it could help push you over the edge to getting accepted, otherwise you would have been rejected.</p>
<p>Many of my friends have received the supplemental questionaire as well. UCB wants to know more about you so that they can make their decision. At this point, you are not admitted yet, however if you do well on ur supplemental thingy you have a fair chance of getting in.</p>
