I was wondering if any of you guys have any information about admissions being rescinded. I had a TAG with UC Davis and this Spring I received a D and an F on two of my courses( UC transferable). This brings my GPA down to 3.08. These courses are being offered during summer but I know that schools don’t look at summer before transfer. So my question is, do I have any chance of attending UCD in the fall? I have contacted them, but they haven’t gotten back to me.
If it helps, my major is non-selective and my conditions of admission was that I maintain a 3.2 in Spring and receive a grade higher than a C, which I clearly didn’t.
@Ohm888 I think you might be right, however I did jump the gun on one of my grades…turns out I only got one D. However, I still didn’t get a 3.2 in Spring, and my overall GPA is down to 3.17
If you haven’t already, then you should notify Davis. For one thing if they are willing to bend the rules and let you take the summer class then you need to have them agree to it now. Later in the summer when they review your transcripts will be too late.
Notifying them also lets you present your story. If they just see your transcripts and decide to rescind you, then you might be able to appeal. Its a lot better to present your case up front before they decide to rescind you; a lot easier to avoid a decision than to reverse it.
