I read the transfer credit policy for UCLA but am still a bit confused. I am a bit of an untraditional applicant, I am attending a California community college for the fall semester, but will be enrolled at UCD (incoming freshman) for the winter and spring quarters. (I am applying for the fall 2021 cycle).
From what I understand if you cross 130 quarter units you will not be admitted and that you can not transfer more than 105 quarter units for your degree.
I also understand that CC credits and AP credits are not included in the 130 quarter unit calculation.
Does this mean that if I have less than 130 credits from UCD I am fine to transfer?
For the 105 unit calculation I understand that UC credits are not counted for this cap. Does this mean that if I have less than 105 quarter units from AP credit and CC, I can transfer all of them over with my UCD credits?
I am also wondering how likely it would be that I would be accepted. I will most likely have a 4.0 at the time of applying and am applying for a non-impacted major.
Trying to understand your post. You are attending a CC for Fall quarter, then will attend UCD for Winter and Spring as a Freshman?
So UCD let you defer for 1 quarter to attend a CC and still will accept you as a Freshman after having attended a CC for 1 quarter?
Will you have any CC credits other than what you have taken for Fall quarter?
Here is what UCLA states about UC to UC transfer the credit limits:
CC credits are capped 70 semester/105 quarter units. When Transferring UC-UC, all units are counted and there is no 70 unit lower division cap. AP is excluded from the count.
@Gumbymom Yes that is what UCD is letting me do. Yes I have other CC credits than the ones I am taking right now. I would have an estimated 82 quarter units from CC and UCD by the end of the spring quarter. I also have approximately 50 units from AP credits. From what I understand
