UCD V. UCSB English Major

Hey everyone,

I'm a transfer student majoring in English theory/lit/criticism and at least a minor in political science - I am going law school.

Davis is my first choice, but I am curious to see what others thing about the pros and cons of both Santa Barbara and Davis. Mind you I am visiting Davis for the first time in two weeks and I live in the northwestern area of Los Angeles and often go to Santa Barbara, where I am not the hugest fan of Isla Vista. But yeah, let me know what you all think in general of the schools, or better, specifically the English major at both schools if you have had experiences.

UCSB is ranked higher in English and has a stellar pre-law program. i would go there.

UCSB has a pre-law program. I thought I saw that SB got rid of the “law and society” major last year. Davis has a law school. that is something to consider. Also around 80% of Davis grads get into their 1st choice law school
