UCD vs UCI bioengineering

I’m choosing between these 2 colleges, my major is bioengineering but I’m not sure about it, and if I switch I’d probably pick something medical. Which school is better for me?

I want to consider social life too. I live in the Bay area, so Davis is closer, but that really isn’t a big issue for me. I know that they are ranked the same, but everyone keeps telling me that UCI is getting better than Davis. However, I’ve always thought that Davis is better. Help me pick!

I think Davis has an overall stronger biology department.
I have a few friends at UCI, and they tell me that everyone is very friendly there. Davis is supposedly more stuck up though.
But since the schools are fairly even, I wouldn't worry too much about choosing based on a major. You might end up changing your mind, after all.

Can't go wrong at either school. Visit and decide.

I'm in the exact same situation as you are, except biomedical engineering :)
I think I'm choosing Davis!

For any bio-related engineering, Davis would be the way to go.

Liesel: Whoever told you that has no idea what they're talking about.

Either one would be good for bioengineering, and their reputations are about the same in that field. If you like big cities and the beach, I recommend Irvine, if you like the peace and quiet of the countryside, Davis.
