UCD vs UCI for Biomedical Engineering?

These schools look pretty such tied program wise, and I’m having a hard time making a choice. Any advise?

Visit both schools since both are very different in location and “vibe”. Aggie Mom here so there is bias. UCD is very small town (although 20 min from Sac), heavily agriculture, flat, green and very friendly. Huge campus but pretty low key and bikes everywhere. Tahoe and San Francisco close by so many things to do in your spare time??
UCI is known as more of a communter campus but still many students are there on the weekends. Campus is really nice and I liked how the buildings are laid out around the central park area. Great weather and close to beaches.
Academically both schools will give a great education, but you need to find which school fits you best.

Academics are for all intents and purposes equal, so it comes down to preference. I can say that Davis is a nice college town, and it’s very relaxed. There are lots of restaurants and events on campus. That said, Davis does run out of things to do. Sacramento is very close, however.

I think the Biomed Engineering major at either school would be excellent, so it definitely comes down to the type of environment you prefer. I have lived, worked, and gone to school in both Irvine & Davis. They have very different personalities. Definitely visit each and see where you feel most comfortable. They are both great schools! Good luck!!
