<p>Many a thread have been created discussing which these UCs is the best, but none of them addressed mechanical/computer engineering specifically or well enough. If anyone has any data or input on this topic it would be greatly appreciated</p>
<p>I think they are reasonably similar. My guess is UCD is stronger in Computer Engineering while UCI is stronger in Computer Science.</p>

<p>I just visited UCR and they have a great engineering college and the students seem really into the work they’re doing, something I didn’t see at UCI, but of course that could have been an anomaly. Anyone else have any input on this?</p>
