A toss up since both offer Medical schools, Research opportunities and excellent academics. Probably comes down to location and fit.
I’m voting UCSD because of the sheer number of opportunities for premeds on campus. The town of Davis has one medium sized hospital and the medical school/medical center are located in Sacramento. Not only does UCSD have a top-ranked medical school on campus and receive top 4 research funds nationally for science and engineering research, but there are 5 hospitals and several inpatient clinics within walking distance of campus. This translates into massive research, clinical, volunteering, and shadowing opportunities for premed students. Also, the nearby Salk Institute, Scripps Research Institute, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute and La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology hire many undergrads for entry level roles.
