i got accepted to ucdavis last week and was almost sure that i would go there in the fall, but today i got accepted to usd and awarded a $60,000 scholarship and now i don’t know where to go. i live in san diego so if i went to usd i’d only be 20 minutes from home, and i don’t think i really want to be that close. the nice thing about davis is that its in state tuition, but i’m far enough away that it feels out of state. they’d both be about the same financially, so i was woundering if anyone knew the pros and cons socially and academically for each. thanks!

USD has a beautiful campus, and is a smaller private. You could expect small class sizes and more individual attention. Academically UCD is more prestigious. It is also a very large university. What do you prefer? Would you rather have smaller class sizes? Do you enjoy sports? What is your major?

i want a school with a lot of team spirit and i like how davis has division 1 football. also, i come from a really large public school and that is what i'm leaning toward. i have an art history major and i know that davis has a really good program, but i know nothing about usd's program

There's a boat load of spirit here. Today, I was walking to class in the rain
and the marching band was outside practicing their routines!! I couldn't believe their spirit and determination. With this new football stadium, everyone's going to be attending the football games next year. I'm looking forward to them, I know that much.

What do you like about USD?

School spirit, large student body, good art history, etc. -- plus the academic prestige, college town environment, and friendly student body. Sounds like a UC Davis match to me!

dude... usd is ghetto.
