I got waitlisted for UCF summer semester 2018 Did anyone get accepted in previous years waitlist? UCF has always been my top choice and I want to know my chances.
Thank You
I was waitlisted today for Fall 2018. I’m not sure how to feel about it. Trying to find the stats of the waitlist at ucf but can’t find any. ughh
I saw somewhere on here that last year 5,000 were put on the wait list and 72 ended up being accepted
Google UCF common data set- it is under First time, first year freshman admissions Section C2. I reported the numbers in another thread, these are for Fall- no idea about Summer.
School year
2016- 2017
waitlisted: 4,591
accepted waitlist: 1880
admitted: 71
2017-2018
waitlisted: 4801
accepted waitlist: 2896
admitted: 53
I’ was wait listed for fall term and now offered admissions to the summer term, does anybody know how many credits I have to take for summer?
My daughter was placed on this waitlist for UCF. I’m hoping she can get in. I know the odds are not very slim. Any advice? She’s sent in a letter of interest but no one has applied. She was told to send the letter to the recruiter for that school but no response.
If she doesn’t get, how long does she have to wait to reapply? Thanks! She was accepted to USF, FAU, FIU.
Hey guys! I’ve been waitlisted for the fall term as well, since the accepted number is 53, does that mean that there are no more open spaces available, and that it’s too late for me to get it at this date?
@Milymoments - the 53 was the number admitted off the waitlist last year. Not sure when they will start pulling people off this year’s waitlist.
From UCF’s website under Wait List FAQ:
UCF will notify you of our decision as soon as possible, but no later than May 31 of each year. Offers of admission are confirmed by receipt of a letter from the Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Final decisions — other than offers of admission — are not communicated by mail, but will be confirmed through a status update on myUCF.
Good luck to all of you, hoping you get good news!!!
Just got accepted into the summer term, after being waitlisted in March. Originally applied for fall, did not send any addition letters.
@jjay43 Did you send any other scores or transcript??
@carolinaisabel No other scores or transcripts. I’ll be graduating with my AA degree and high school diploma at the same time so I emailed admissions on Monday regarding my status and it was later updated today.
@jjay43 what did you email to admissions? did you tell them how you are ready for a decision?
@architectkid Not exactly. Since I was waitlisted, I sent an email to one of the advisors located on the contact page about possibly reapplying as a transfer as I would be graduating with my AA from one of the direct connect colleges. The person that I emailed was very helpful but I could only be considered as a transfer if I complete 12 more credits after graduating from high school. However, during the same time of sending that email, I also sent an additional email to admissions regarding the same information. Two days later I got a replay from admissions saying that my decision was changed and to log in and check.
