UCF Acceptance Status Fall/Summer 2015

Hey guys! So as seniors I'm sure we're anxiously filling out college apps and hoping for responses and I just wanted to get a better idea of what UCF's standards are. So if you've got the time lets share some stats and wish each other luck!

Status: Application decision pending
Applied for: Summer Term
In state out of state?: In state
Where else are you applying to?: UF, FSU, Auburn, Clemson, James Madison
UW GPA: 3.7
W GPA: 4.85
SAT: 1650 (I know not very good, looking to get better in October)
ACT: 25
Community Service: 150+ DOCUMENTED hours
Strength of Classes?: Well I'm in the IB Program so every single class I've taken is very challenging, for those of you who do not know of IB it is simply just AP classes on steroids. Also explains why my GPA is so high.
EC's: JV Basketball 9-10th
Law Club 9-11th
YIG 10-11th
National Honor Society
National English Honor Society
Rho Kappa (An honor society for History)
Film Club 9-12th
Part-time demanding job working for a National Wildlife Refuge 10th-12th

Anything Else: My essay was very good and being a member of the IB program certainly will help my chances. My GC said that UCF will have their first large acceptance today and I'm very excited! Good Luck Guys!

Realistically, What do you think your chances are?: I would say anywhere between 85-95% 95% of all IB kids that apply there get in.

IB HELPS SO INSANELY MUCH AND IS TOTALLY WORTH YOUR TIME IF YOU WANT TO GET INTO GOOD COLLEGES!

Hey! I’ve been checking my application status like 30 times an hour in anticipation. The email I got like a week ago said that they’ll start reviewing the applications today, but I don’t know if that means that they’ll start sending out acceptances today.

Anyways, I’ll fill out my stats:

Status: Decision Pending
Applied for: Fall 2015
In state out of state?: In state
Where else are you applying to?: Just UCF, I can’t really afford to send my transcript to a bunch of colleges, so I’m sticking with my top choice.
UW GPA: I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s between 3.5 and 3.7.
W GPA: Also not sure, but I;m estimating it to be around 4.1.
SAT: 1910
ACT: 32
Community Service: 110ish hours.
Strength of Classes?: 4 AP classes Junior Year, 5 Senior Year, and 1 Freshman year. The rest of my classes were mostly Honors.
EC’s: I’m actually not sure…I didn’t really do much.

Anything Else: I’m hoping that my ACT score can make up for my lack of ECs and not-amazing GPA. I kinda screwed up 10th grade year and it’s coming back to haunt me. I’m still really confident about getting in, though. I can’t imagine why they’d turn down someone with a 32 on the ACT…
Good luck to everyone, though!

Annnnd I just got accepted! I’m freaking out right now lol

I was accepted as well. If you have not gotten an email just go to the MyUCF portal and log on. From there just check your application status and you’ll see. Good Luck!! IM SO HAPPY I DID IB. UCF is not my first choice but definitely a solid backup

just got accepted!!! so so happy, UCF is my #1 choice!

You guys are making me uber nervous. I finished my application and everything needed a while ago and now I’m going to rip my hair off.
