UCF Acceptance Status Fall/Summer 2015

I applied to UCF last year, in November. Now my application status is : A decision is being deferred pending verification of your immigration status. In order to ensure timely admission consideration. But I already turn in all the documents, but I still didn’t hear from them.
Term applied: fall 2015
SAT 1580, I know it’s bad.
GPA 3.9
ACT 22
Classes: AP GOV, AP BIO, Dual Enrollment. Honors classes.
Extracurricular: chorus, volunteer in JFK hospital.
what should i do now, i have been waiting for a long period. I don’t know if they going to accept me or not.

@judyjia1 are you sure ur transcripts reached them? I had to mail them and submit them electronically a few times until they finally received them. I applied in Nov. too and received my decision in Feb.

I just found out this evening I was supposedly wait-listed with a 27 ACT, 1700 SAT, and 3.75 weighted GPA throughout high school, granted I don’t know my UCF GPA, but I figure it can’t be too much worse. So I emailed admissions to see if they got mixed up or something, keep in mind this is for summer admission, not fall. I figured my scores would be totally fine to get in for summer, what do you guys think?

Has anyone checked financial aid and it says 0 for estimated federal grant accepted?

@knights4life‌ your stats and strength of schedule look similar to mine and I got in for Fall so it seems to me you should definitely get in for summer. Were you deferred or wait listed because I was deferred and then admitted a month later? I am from out of state- north east- so not sure if that helped me. I would give admissions a call and see if they have any feedback or if something is missing.

Yes, it shows on my application status webpage says that transcript received. I don’t know what happen. @sc8305‌

@CTFootball I was wait listed, I believe it’s harder for out of state to get in? Correct me if i’m wrong on that front. I’m gonna give them a couple days to respond through email and if they don’t or i’m not satisfied with their answer i’ll definitely call.

Accepted yesterday! (Friday) after about 3-4 weeks.

My essay was alright but im not sure why the deferrals taking so long?
Any thoughts?

@Newb54‌ call them and ask! They will take a second look at your application faster If you do.

I just got accepted for summer term 2015, so if i go to the summer term, is that guaranteed that i will get into the fall term?

@judyjia1 you have to get a C or above in all your summer classes!

Thank you. I need to attend the summer term orientation, but the summer term session A start in May 18, But the orientation date is May 27-28. Is that i have attend orientation first in order to enroll in class? confused.

@judyjia1; yes, it is during orientation that you choose your classes and get advising from a counselor. Try to go to the earliest orientation possible, because classes fill up fast!

@loyola7 Hi! I applied back in December with a similar situation (stats, parent living in Florida, translating international grades) and was accepted. Not to give you false hope, but I’m sure you will be too!
