Just checked my application status and i was accepted! Im so excited, UCF is my first choice school!
Congrats. When was the last time you checked before this time? I’m so nervous.

I applied in early August and just found out today. Honestly UCF is not hard to get into so for those of you stressing you should calm down.
ALSO for those of you wondering, I did NOT do the essay or letters of recommendation
Congrats on admission! Is that GPA your UCF recalculated? I have a 1900 (1260 CR+M) and a 3.7 WGPA, but that’s recalculated to a 3.2 by UCF’s standard.
I applied in mid-August and I still haven’t heard anything. What do you think?
I believe the last time i checked before was yesterday or the day before. I’ve heard of people getting accepted and not recieving an email about it, so i tried to check my status once a day just to make sure. I also ended up being one of those kids who didnt recieve an email lol
I applied in August and was notified of acceptance Sept 16. I did not write the essay or send letters of rec.

@JasonMath and @FLSmartSlacker with those stats it’s totally understandable that you didn’t write the essay.
D2 has solid to decent stats and decided to write the essay just in case. She’s also an OOS candidate - not sure how that hurts or helps. Her application was just submitted for review today. Anyone have an idea what the turnaround time is once it goes to the adcom?
Since it’s rolling admissions, it really tends to vary from applicant to applicant.
Some people experience a 4 day (since all admissions material is received) turn around time. Others, months. I applied in mid-August and still haven’t heard, because of my weak GPA.
With a strong application, the wait time won’t be bad.
Im still waiting. Applied July 15… still checking like 20 times an hour
OK thanks @UCFan123. I guess we’ll find out how just strong her application is over the next few days to few months.
What are my chances of being accepted? I am applying with
ACT of 28, (retaking in December)
a weighted GPA of 4.20
I was home schooled through an umbrella school
I took honors courses every year and 4 ap courses overall
My umbrella school was Christian so I did extensive biblical studies that weren’t included as electives but show up on my high school transcripts
I did 3 years of Norwegian and 1 year of Spanish
I volunteer extensively at my local church
I work every afternoon in my family business
I am part of a drama production team
I did media sound booth production for a period of time
I got volunteer hours at FAU (long story)

This is so stressful I applied in August and still haven’t gotten a decision yet. How long did it take for your ACT scores to send because they still haven’t received my ACT score.
Hey guys I really need some help on knowing my chances of getting in to UCF. I am originally from England and moved to Florida my freshman year of high school.
My gpa:
*Cumulative GPA: 3.3878
*Academic Core GPA: 3.5781
*Weighted Cumul. GPA: 4.4255
Extra curricular:
*Varsity swimming
*J.V Softball
*NHS (treasurer)
*BPA
*French Club (treasurer)
*Interact Club
*Student government Assoiciation
*Environmental Club
Volunteering:
*North Broward Hospital
*Church - New life (I help teach english to the children since I am half Brazilian)
*Middle School
*I teach dances to the entertainers for the company Kids Fairyland
Basically I think I have good extra curricular’s but my test scores are really holding me back, my highest ACT score is a 20. I’m signed up to retake the ACT in September and I am awaiting my results.
do you think I have any chance of getting in to UCF? Because thats my dream school and would it be a bonus if I say i’m from England and I had to move to Florida with my parents and learn the American way of life such as your grading system and taking the SAT and ACT, and also mention that I am half Brazilian?
They need your act scores if you didn’t send sat for them to make a decision. I applied in July and I’m still waiting for a decision. They’ve had all my info
try not to stress, I forgot to put I was in the top ten percent of my class so that could have sped up my admissions process (because of the the Top Ten Knights initiative)
@natskey123 have you taken the SAT? you might find you like it better than the ACT! I believe they’re changing the format of both tests in the coming months as well. Your EC’s are great and so is your recalculated and weighted gpa, so I think you still have a good shot
Did they notify you to let you know that you were apart of the Top Ten Knights initiative? My school does not rank but, if I am calculating correctly, my core GPA would be above 3.9. I do not how they calculate but I do know that I have had a straight A streak since 9th grade. I have also done ap and honors in core subject areas. I’m assuming my GPA will be well above 4.
