Daughter received her letter right before Thanksgiving:
Date applied - Sent snail mail Nov. 1st
Date accepted - received letter right before Thanksgiving
GPA - 4.4 weighted
ACT - 30
SAT - Didn’t take
Academic course - 9 AP classes by graduation and 1 early college class from University of Alabama, honors
EC - LOTS of dance classes! Work (at her studio this year), NHS, and a lot of volunteer hours
Scholarships - Haven’t heard yet but having some residency issues since we currently live OOS (military)
I think she had a pretty good essay. We are active duty military and move a lot so I don’t know if that helped give her an edge. UCF is her first choice but she wouldn’t have gone without the honors acceptance.
@ucf2018@sewin2music Hi - I’m curious about the status on my D honors application. You two mention going onto myhonors and checking. She tried and it doesn’t work using her myucf credentials. Do you have to call honors to get this setup? Will they activate a myhonors sign in for her if she hasn’t been accepted into the honors program? It’s so hard to wait for a letter in the mail. Would love to be able to track in online. Thanks for any advice!!
We haven’t been able to access it yet, and she received her acceptance a few weeks ago. We called and they said it may take a few days. It may be time to call them back.

Can someone please tell me if I am correct in my assumption: We will not receive notification of acceptance online thru myucf- instead we have to wait for mail to receive word of acceptance/ denial? There is not an account to log into to find out application status to burnett (like the my ucf account)?
@Mom2NND I believe so. I think there is supposed to be a way to check online but it never worked for me either. But they will send you a letter in the mail informing you if you’ve been accepted. I would assume they would do the same if you got denied but if not I guess they just won’t send you a reply form in February.
@Mom2NND it took about a week after I sent out my application but that was in October when applications to the honors College had just begun so I would think it would take longer now
@Mom2NND hi I’ve been out of town mostly since dec 1st. and just catching up on this site. My D got a letter within 2-3 weeks of applying. Unfortunately she wasn’t accepted but they said they would reevaluate her and she could send additional items in for their review. We are still holding out hope. Good luck to your daughter!
I just got my letter today, and I’m pretty stoked!
I’m OOS (Mississippi), and I’m 99% sure that I’ll be attending UCF next year. The 1% is for if I get some miracle scholarships from Georgia Tech, Lehigh, or Vandy.
Date applied: December 27th
Date accepted: January 8th
