Hi, the University of Central Florida is my first choice school, but my stats aren't exactly magnificent. I understand that I may not have a great chance, but I'd like to know if I have any chance what so ever. Here it goes:
UW GPA: 3.1
W GPA: 3.3
SAT:1610
ACT:24
multiple ECs and volunteer hours

I know my GPA is extremely low. I started my junior year with a 2.8 GPA and ended that year with practically straight A's (I think I got maybe one or two C's that whole year). I wrote one essay that thoroughly explained my situation during high school. I'm confident that they will be impressed because I've let a few teachers read it and even put a few in tears. Any help/advice/encouragement would be appreciated!

my best friend went to UCF last year. She took one AP her entire high school career, wasn’t very involved, and had a 24 on the ACT and she got in. She got into FSU, too without even writing the essay. I want to say her unweighted gpa was closer to 3.5. I would say you have a good chance of getting in.

Thanks! I’ve only taken 4 AP classes and 1 honors class my sophmore year. I plan on taking more my senior year because I’ve really gotten more serious about school so hopefully I can show admissions that.
