Which do you guys recommend? I really don't want to do Oral Communication, is Technical Presentation or Intro to Comm. easier?

Also: what do you guys recommend for my Cultural Foundation? Right now im leaning to Philosophy, but I don’t want a class that is too hard.

It depends on your major, but I would avoid Comm 1000. The whole point of that Gen. Ed. is to get you more comfortable speaking in front of an audience. Comm 1000 doesn’t achieve that. Also, it is probably the most important Gen. Ed. because regardless of major, being a better public speaker will make you a better candidate for a job and you will be better prepared if you have to give a presentation to a board meeting or speak in front of a crowd.

For the cultural foundation, just take something interesting to you. If you ENJOY the class, you won’t feel like you are working. I had a friend take a History of Rock class knowing that the professor assigns a research paper, but he didn’t care because it was a topic he ENJOYED. My roommate took the Enjoyment of Music class, which is usually a bit harder than the other choices, because he enjoyed classical music. So much so that he could figure out the listening part of his final without having to listen to the song, based on the choices of the pieces and the choices of the composers who wrote them in the next section.

^ Agreed with the COMM comment. It maybe an easy class…but it’ll get you nowhere. I took tech speaking and I feel like it helped me out a lot. Cinema Survey is pretty easy.
I came in with DE credit for World Religions, but I’ve heard that there is a super easy prof at UCF for it.
