when was the dept established. the school is on my list to transfer but I need some more facts about it.

You can get an idea of how well-established an engineering program is by looking for the date ABET accreditation was established. Here is the link for UCF:

[Accredited Programs details](http://main.abet.org/aps/AccreditedProgramsDetails.aspx?OrganizationID=16)

As you can see, their EE program was accredited in 1972.

good im not gonna go there now … thanks!!!

Why don’t you want to go there now? Is 1972 too recent?
Just curious.

^^^An EE department needs to mature, like a fine wine. 41 years as ABET accredited? Bah I say! BAH!!

Yeah I want a better school. I mean if im going to go to a school where my upper divion classes are gonna be huge I might as well go to a better school like g.tech or berkeley

Well, if you have the stats for UC-Berkeley or Georgia Tech, and $$$ is not an issue, then by all means go to the better school.

However, if you’re a Florida in-state student and $$$ is an issue, then UCF should be on your list as an option for EE, no matter your stats.

Good Luck!

I don’t mind taking a loan for an EE degree
