UCF Expedite Decisions anyone do it?

I know two people who did UCF Expidited Decision request this week. One got in on two hours another next day.

Anyone else any success or failure reports? Please post here!

My daughter called and asked for her decision to be expedited. She is a prospective transfer student, and her status says her decision is deferred, waiting on her second college semester grades. On her call, she told them that she’d need to give an answer to the two other schools (where she’s been accepted) before the end of the current semester due to their decision deadlines.

UCF told her they would not render a decision for her.

I’m not sure if there are “magic words” she needed to say, or if it’s different for transfers. In any case, we are treating it as a declination, and she’s continuing to look into the offers from the other schools. I’ll encourage her to provide the end of semester transcript anyway and see what UCF’s decision turns out to be, but I’m skeptical she will consider it strongly after having committed somewhere else.

I am also wondering if I should expedite my decision!? I applied in October and have heard nothing! I called and the lady I talked to said if I don’t hear back by the end of March to have the decision expedited, but it can be risky if I have low stats. ( My test score isn’t good ) So, I’m not sure if I should just wait for them to give me a decision, even if that means waiting until May.

did you expedite it?

My son has stats that are in the range, but not on the higher side. His application was complete October 8th. He’s actually touring Rosen right now. Hoping for a decision soon. He really loves UCF!

Hi! My son just heard that he was accepted. He was at an open house and spoke with an admissions counselor and his portal was updated today. It’s probably a coincidence, but he’s thrilled either way. FOur months and two days later!

Congratulations! Be sure to apply for housing right away, because housing assignments for academic-year dorms are determined by housing approval date. On-campus housing also will fill up fairly soon.

@Nj0919 Congrats! Was the open house at his high school or at UCF? Wondering how we might be able to move things along as well.

Just an update for those reading this. We applied October 25, and finally heard back February 25. Four months. She applied for Summer directly. She was offered summer access program, but she isn’t sure about this since she was hoping to do summer online from home. She was also admitted to USF.
