Submitted one essay which I think was ok

My GPA isn’t that great but all the rest is bassically what they look for so I think thats why I got in.

What is ACT/SAT requirement for Honors college? Is there a community service requirement?

There is no ACT/SAT cutoff for the Honors College. They really look at everything, not just test scores. However, you have to have a pretty amazing GPA and ECs and everything should your test scores not be that high. Keep in mind that you’re competing with the best of UCF’s incoming class to get in, for my incoming Honors College class in Fall 09 our average SAT score was a 1370. Averate ACT I want to say was about 30 or 31.

I have about a 4.2 weighted GPA and a 29 ACT. I added 2 letters of rec, and a sample essay from my Humanities class. Do I have a chance? I had volunteers hours and other extra curriculars too, of course.

To be honest, I got in and had only a 28 on my ACT. I did send my resume and a couple of essays in, and I had a lot of ECs and Community service. However, I got deferred at all. I was lucky thought that I was driving through Orlando on my way to North Carolina and stopped by and had an interview with a representative from the college. I should that I was a hard worker and motivated. 2 weeks later, I got accepted

MysteryTime, what were your other stats? GPA, AP classes, etc?

I also got a 28 on the ACT and can’t retake it again due to the next test center being full…so this gives me hope! Haha :)

Its been awhile, but I think my GPA was a 4.8. My school inflated our grades weird. like an A- in a regular class was a 4.0, and an A in a regular was a 4.33, with each going up a point for honors, and 2 points for AP. I had all As and Bs, I think it was like a 3.8 GPA on a normal scale. I took one AP course junior year, english, and got a 3. Took two senior year.

I was treasurer for NHS, and vice president of projects for key club. Also was chairman for a community wide event for melanoma, which included making a website and doing a presentation in front of the school

Alright, thanks so much!! Perhaps I will have a chance :)

My school inflates grades like crazy as well. Every year we have about 15 or so 4.00 graduates but only 1 or 2 NMS semifinalists/finalists.

Accepted! :)

Congrats dance2nite!

I have a weighted GPA of 4.55 and an ACT score of 28, sent in 3 letters of recommendation and an essay from my English dual-enrollment class. I have yet to hear from them! :(

I just got Accepted today Sending out my fee tomorrow. My stats aren’t amazing (not bad though), but I still got in. I think it was mostly my essay I wrote. So, anyone who hasn’t gotten in, don’t give up hope.

I got in last week Friday. It took four months, but I finally got in!

What’s the last day to apply for reconsideration? "/

MysteryTime, how did you came into contact with the representative? did you asked to see the representative? i got deferred, and i was hoping to see if i can get into the honors program again.
