Hello,I just want to verify if anyone knows that UCF takes the highest of either the SAT or ACT. My S got a 27 on ACT and a 1430 on SAT. Some people said to only send in the SAT, well we forgot but when he took the ACT at school, he had put in UCF, so when he applied the score showed up. So I just to confirm, that UCF will look at the highest of the two. Also, is the 1430 a good score for Burnett Honors College? He took the SAT again but we wont find out till next week. He has a UW gpa of 4.0
We met with an honors adviser at UCF this past spring and she was very helpful. If you live close to Orlando, you amy want to do the same. The advice we received was that the application to the Burnett Honors College is available Sept. 15th (today!). If you go to their website: https://honors.ucf.edu/admissions/incoming-freshman/, you can see how to request one. They said they will look through all your students’ test scores and pick the highest one, so if you sent all scores it’s ok. The earlier you send in the honors application, the better chance of admission. I believe you request an honors application, and they send it to you in the mail. The adviser also mentioned that along with the paper honors application, you will need to mail UCF an official paper high school transcript even though you already submitted one with your UCF application. Evidently, the two offices do not share information. Additionally, if your student has taken any dual enrollment coursework, an official paper transcript from that state or community college must be sent as well.
Tbosmom THANK YOU
