Today I recieved a letter from UCF telling me that they have completed a preliminary review of my credentials and are presenting me with a different option of enrollment. "You will be offered admission and can choose to enroll in the summer term rather than the fall, and then continue enrollment in the fall term." Further, if I do not accept this I will be denied admission to UCF.

Then, it tells me that I must respond within 30 days to accept this offer of admission.

Does this mean that if I respond in 30 days that i HAVE TO attend UCF? Or am I just accepting their admission? Because, Ive applied to other schools and I am not sure that these other schools will notify me of their admission before this 30 day deadline. You know?

I would email them and accept the offer of admission for summer and tell them that you will pay your deposit by May 1 if you decide to enroll. I don’t believe that anyone has to make an enrollment decision until May 1. I believe that just want you to realize that it is summer start or denial. You could and probably should call the admission’s office on Monday and confirm this (that your are “in” for summer but that you have until May 1 to pay a deposit).

Summer admission means that you start your freshman year for Summer B on June 28 and your last day of classes is August 5 (a Thursday). You can move into your dorm room on Saturday, June 26th. If you choose UCF and pay your deposit, you will go onto the accepted students section of the website and register for orientation (a two day process where you are introduced to UCF life, rules, campus and class schedules and that is where and when you will register for your Summer AND Fall classes).

Good luck on your decision and congratulations on being offered “knighthood”.

Hi! Thank you soooo much for the clarification.
It turns out that I do have until May 1st ! But, by the looks of it I do believe I will be attending UCF!
