UCF Transfer. Please Help!

Hi,

I am a student at WVU and I just switched into pre-nursing here. I am going to apply in the Fall for their Spring 2015 semester. I am currently a sophomore. I changed my major kind of late already. By the time I apply I will have 60 credits. however i messed up my freshman year and my gpa is 3.27... however i still need to take classes in order to finish my pre-recs for nursing. I need to take one full year of pre-recs before I can try to apply for the nursing program. ucf told me that i can apply in the fall and if i get accepted i can finish my pre-recs during the spring at ucf. if you look at my transcript you can see a huge improvement of my grades and you can see that i am truly focused on school and becoming a better student. if i do get all a's or even one b i will hit a 3.4 by the end of the fall semester. i know that a 3.5+ is more competitive for nursing. but i just would like to know

do i have a chance? i heard the nursing program is a bit competitive

when should i apply? i was thinking i should apply in August so I can find out Sept/Oct, since most people say they take one to two & half months to tell you if youre in or not

how is the nursing program there at ucf anyway (if you know)

also i have shadowed at my hospital once but i am registered to shadow again this semester and also for next semester. i 350 hours hours of community service but i am doing way more, i want to hit 700 this fall coming up. i had experience with working in a hospital for three months because i was in a program.

i know its not a lot to offer but i am definetely trying to make a difference now that i am older.

pleasee respond!

Very competitive

 1. UCF has a transfer agreement with 4 community colleges. For students that have an AA degree 2.0 gpa. Those students are accepted first
 2. Than students from other 2 year state colleges out side of the 4 I just mentioned. So they take the first and second pics from the 4 local community colleges and the state colleges in Florida
 3. Than all other University students in the state with competitive gpas
 4. All your credits have to comply with UCFs requirements.
