UCF tries to duplicate FSU Meteorology Program

Let it go, GradBoy. We’re done here.

Good luck in your studies.

I think its considered pork because the state already has at least two meteorology programs: FIU and FSU. FIU already does weather (especially hurricane) research with the NOAA office in Miami. Do we really need another one?

We can’t really have a hard line rule that says “university X already has program Y. Therefore, university Z shouldn’t create the same program.” I know we can all agree that there will be duplicate programs at many universities in this state. But sometimes we have to draw the line somewhere… and I think that line should be based on necessity.

To rogracer and goufgators:

I couldn’t agree more.

To parent2noles:

Thank you. It’s always good to have a stimulating discussion in a time when critical thinking skills are more and more scarce.
