How would UCF compare with the FAU honors and the USF honors? The UCF is just the regular, not the Burnett Honors College. Which would you choose? What are the general opinions in FL regarding all of these? I am seriously looking to attend college in FL and have been accepted into all three of these schools.

I would consider either UCF or FAU Honors. I don’t know much about FAU but I heard their Honors program is pretty good. UCF is good in the sense that it’s growing rapidly and is now a Tier-1 university.

Thanks for the input! That is the argument I am having daily in my head; it is so hard to decide. Not sure what the deciding factor will be. FAU’s campus is nicer, but UCF is much more well-known. Any other thoughts are welcome.

FAU’s campus better than UCF’s ? REALLY? I need to see it then. UCF is BEAUTIFUL.

The Jupiter campus. I like it a lot, but it is much different than a traditional, larger university. It is just a personal preference and I will be doing another UCF campus visit this week as well. It definitely isn’t for everyone, though!

What? UCF is definitely NOT a Tier 1 university.

The U.S. News Report ranked UCF 179th in the nation.

UCF supposedly is now… something about they changed the qualifications for each tier or something.

I promise you, UCF is definitely a Tier-1 university. UCF is just underrated. Wouldn’t surprise me if it joins in the ranks of FSU and UF soon.

UCF is tier 1 but that’s because U.S. News and World Report expanded the tiers.

Regardless of whether they expanded it or not, I wouldn’t put much doubt in UCF. That school is seriously underrated. It has potential and it’s growing.

Hey guy! I have been accepted to UCF FAU and USF for the college of buisness. I love all three schools. does anyone have any input to help with the decision?

thanks :)

I meant Business :)

Hey Ashely! This is a pretty old thread, but I’ll offer some opinion:) Be warned ahead of time, this post will probably be biased, seeing as I will be attending UCF next year. When it comes to these three schools, they’re very different. However, UCF and USF are more comparable in terms of education and rankings, while FAU is on the lower end. Does that mean it’s a bad school? Of course not, I’m sure it’s very good. However, it seems to be known as one of the easier schools in FL to gain acceptance into, along with FIU. If you were to go out of state, I can pretty much assure you people do not know about it, and will not know when you say, ‘I went to FAU.’ However, when you mention UCF, they do know (I’m from Chicago, and you hear talk about UCF all the time. USF is a little iffy, a good amount of people don’t know, but it’s approaching. Now, things to consider. What kind of area do you want to be in? A smaller area with more elderly, area really close to the beach, or an area known as the 'top tourist attractions? It’s all based on preference! Did any of these schools offer you money? Is money an important role right now, because if one offered you a heafty amount, and money is important, it might be best to choose that school. When it comes to which schools are more well know, and know positive, it’s UCF and USF. I highly suggest visiting these campuses-from what I heard, UCF blows every campus out of the water. It’s beautiful in such a contemporary and modern light, huge, with everything you could possibly need. UCF football team will be in the big east in 2013, which is really great! USF is building itself, and have some really nice new dorms! Good academics, as well. No idea about FAU. Untilmately, I think you need to visit each-trust me, it’s the deciding factor:)
