I was accepted into FGCU for fall term and UCF for Spring Term (starting january).
I'm torn between the both because FGCU does not have much socially and it can be very boring while UCF is a large party school located in Orlando. FGCU seems to be a larger version of a community college and I don't want to be paying to go away to a community college when theres one 5 minutes away. I love UCF because of the location and what is offers but is very large and I would be going for spring so I would miss the fall term.

Would I miss much being a freshman starting in the spring at UCF? Is waiting to go away to college at UCF a bad move? Or should I go to FGCU?

Please comment pros and cons of each to help me decide!!

in the grand scheme of things, starting 4 months later at UCF isn’t a big deal, especially since there’ll literally be a couple thousand other freshmen doing the exact same thing. UCF is a MUCH better school than FGCU and if costs are similar, I’d spend that Fall wisely (you can volunteer, work, travel, depending on your finances and wishes).

Ask yourself: Fiesta Bowl or Dunk City? But, in all seriousness, go to UCF. You seem to like it better.

Go to UCF. Can you take community college classes in the fall and have them transfer over? Can ucf move your admission to fall?

they won’t move my admission and I can take community classes during the fall time.

I’m confused as to how FGCU resembles a community college?

Commuter school with low academic level required for admission (one of the lowest in the FL system). If you meet the SUS requirements, you’re in, basically. In addition, the quality, pace, and variety of advanced classes simply isn’t comparable to UCF.
