Hi, I was accepted to UCF's LEARN and EXCEL programs (rejected from Honors for same reason I didn't make it to NAF from NASF: my gpa) and got a total $4500 + Bright Futures scholarship but I'm unsure if I want to attend. I know about their facilities and am really pleased by the opportunities I think I'd get there, but wanted to hear from someone with firsthand experience. (I know, from looking at the forums here that there are a LOT of people who got better financial aid offers, but this one's good enough for me.)

I'm a little bit hesitant because I'm not sure if UCF would be a great personal fit for me and it's about a 40 or 50 minute drive from where I live, which is a little too close for me. May 1st is coming up so as soon as possible would be awesome.

Namely, I want to know about things like campus life. Is UCF the kind of school where you won't enjoy yourself if you're not into partying, greek life, sports, etc. (I know that there are always exceptions, but I'd like to know about the over all environment, thanks.) Like, say, if you're an introvert who still wants to be able to make a few close friends? I don't expect everyone to ooze love and friendship (that would actually freak me out. A lot. ) but you know what I mean.

How's the pre-med track? Or how do they prepare you for a masters and/or phd? Sort of unsure of what I'll do, but I'm %95 sure it'll include some kind of grad school. Which is why New College is such a big contender. The only reason to go is grad school, pretty much, but UCF's facilities seem to be better. I want to know if it's worth it. Also, I feel that I could probably fit in well at New College (not %100 though. I'll update after my visit this week). I'm into learning and walk outside barefoot (wouldn't do that at UCF...probably).

How's the EXCEL and LEARN program? I don't expect for them to be as "small college inside a large university" as the honors college, but how close are they on a scale of 1 to 10. To be honest I don't expect the honors college to be very close to that either, since UCF isn't large. It's monstrous. My housing spot's already taken care of. (P.S How do I get a full or at least partial refund on my housing deposit?)

Thanks for your time!
