UCF vs USC

I've been accepted to the University of Central Florida and the University of Southern California (and I'm awaiting Stanford, which if I am super lucky, would make this post irrelevant). I'm planning on majoring in aerospace/astronautical engineering with also an interest in renewable energy. I just was at UCF and got to hear about the dozens of internships and partnerships they have for engineers through Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Siemens, and many others. Plus I would be in the honors college so I would have more individualized attention. Meanwhile, USC as a school overall is ranked higher and is near to NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, but I am not very familiar with their partnerships and how their engineering school compares to UCF's engineering, ignoring all other prestige.

If I go to UCF, being a NMF and Florida resident, I won't be paying anything, but I have yet to hear from USC's FA, although I suspect it will be at least a few thousand per year (very low EFC and NMF).

But ignoring the money and overall school rankings, how do UCF and USC's engineering programs compare?

What ? These are not even peer schools. USC win’s. I though you were talking about University of South Carolina for a second there which is comparable to UCF.
UCF is extremely big probably 3 times bigger than USC. The only reason to turn down UCF is if you cannot afford it. Please don’t fall for the honors gimmick.

"how do UCF and USC’s engineering programs compare? "

You need to visit USC and look or wait for someone from USC to answer this.

Why no UF ? If this was UF vs USC then it would be a pretty hard decision.

I understand that they are not close in rankings. However, UCF is at a disadvantage because they are young, and seem to be up and coming. Size isn’t a problem because the honors classes are all 20 people or less besides 101 lectures. Yeah, there’s a good chance I won’t be able to afford it. Could you explain what you call the honors gimmick?
I’ve never liked Gainesville or UF for various reasons.

I’d just like some input on USC’s engineering internships and other factors that make it stand out.
