Today's the EA deadline. Just mailed my application-thirty minutes before the post office closed.

Good luck Caille! This is gonna be one hell of a long month and a half! Arghh

Did anyone submit on Baker's Island time?

I'm going to submit my application online in an hour or so. God, why am I always so procrastinator!!

Good luck to you too stewart, it is indeed going to be a long six weeks.

I submitted my application on the 29th too, but that was mostly due to wait times for getting LoRs, feedback on essays, etc. I think my essay was really good--I chose to write a script for Essay Option #4. It made my professor laugh a few times, and seemed pretty "Chicago-y."

Though, I highly doubt I'll get in; if I do, I will be extremely surprised.

So basically I'm going to get destroyed by most of you. :P

Damn, I didn't know they extended the deadline!

I interviewed a couple days ago --it was disappointing; my interviewer didn't ask me a single interesting question. We just discussed my college and Chicago's academic programs.

niddumas, did you interview at chicago or through alumni interview??

That's strange niddumas; I just interviewed around that time as well(on campus) and it went wonderfully. I mentioned a certain area of my major that I am interested in and she asked me to elaborate on it because she didn't know anything about it. Also I had to answer what I thought made books great, which ,luckily, I had touched on in one of my essays and had a pretty good answer to.

I asked a lot of questions about the school and the transfer process as well and she was extremely accommodating and helpful.

I'm guessing yours must have been an alumni interview or something or maybe your interviewer was having a bad day because that seems strange that yours was so uninteresting.

...i still haven't been contacted to set up my alumni interview.

i've emailed my admissions counselor twice and called the admissions office, but no one seems to think it's that big of a problem? isn't the deadline the 15th?

"Damn, I didn't know they extended the deadline!"

Mind explaining this to me... I thought it was the 15th

no, the deadline was march 1. the deadline to complete an alumni interview is march 15.

im just curious, but did you guys not hear about the shooting at Uchicago? you guys still wanna go there?

i'll be sure to cancel my interview right away

I applied...We'll see what happens.

my alumni interviewer finally contacted me...it's scheduled for tomorrow night and i have three midterms this week. awesome!

i like how nobody answered my question.

it happened in the fall, it's not really new news...

i'm not sure why one isolated incident involving a graduate student at the university would impact my decision anyway.

agreed....
