First member of my family to be able to study in the United States.
I travel back to my home country of Iran every year and I shadow my uncle, who is a neonatologist. I wrote one of my essays about how we were forced to take a child off of incubation when she was premature because of slanted laws and medicinal infrastructure and how I want to change that.</p>

<p>My recs are phenomenal. One is from my english teacher, who's a very close friend and who's recs have gotten kids into practically every Ivy or top school.
The other is from my AP Bio teacher, who also writes excellent rec letters.
My counselor rec is nice because she's been calling me her "Little Doctor" since we first met, and we talk a lot. She enjoys me.</p>
<p>I spent a lot of time on my essays. A very, very, very long time. So I think they're good for Chicago. Then again, you never know.</p>
