<p>Haha I think UChicago is one of the hardest schools to chance for, because they weigh the essays so heavily. Your scores are definitely good enough to be considered, and your ECs seem good as well, as long as they show commitment (through length of time) or passion (maybe in your essays).
Sorry, I don’t know much about Duke, but good luck on both!</p>

<p>OP, you might consider applying to get into Northwestern (if you like Chicago…) and Davidson (if you like North Carolina) also. I would also mention UIUC and UNC, but you mentioned private schools in your post.</p>
