What do you guys think. I'm leaning heavily towards going to UChicago b/c of the pure academics but I've heard that Northwestern is more fun. and Cornell's an ivy so idk, do you think that the name prestige would be worth it??

I have no idea what I want to do post college though.

I got in both UChicago and Cornell (CALS). I turned down Cornell (with fin aid). I wanted a more liberal education. I did not want to declare my major because I was undecided when I entered college. I’ve been at UChicago for two full quarters now, and I have absolutely no regret. It was the right decision for me because I discovered that I do not like biology at all and students do not declare their majors until the end of second year at UChicago. Most importantly, my HUM and SOSC classes are so tiny. My HUM class had 4 students (and two instructors - one professor and one writing intern). That is the best faculty-student ratio you can possibly get. I am also taking a class with my research mentor. It has a faculty-student ratio of 1:1. Believe it or not, this is just my first year.

Of the three, I would unquestionably choose the University of Chicago. The overall educational quality and intellectual fortitude of the student body is truly astounding.
