Let me know if you wish to be chanced.

I believe you have a pretty good chance of acceptance, especially since your dad worked there and because of your involvement with the university. Of course, it’s impossible to really know with schools like that.
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1746214-student-from-russia-asset-or-liability.html UChicago is the dream school.

I’d say you have a chance… But honestly, they are looking for something ‘sparky’ integer essay department – can’t tell that you delivered that. Your ACT score is under the 50% mark and you are not hooked, I think… So it is a reach. But not ‘out of reach’, IMHO. Why didn’t you apply EA?

Thanks guys! I was a little confused at the difference between EA and ED and thought both were binding. That’s why and I really wish I had known the difference earlier. Also, I had an interview yesterday and I think it went pretty well. I don’t know if it helped. Also, if I get waitlisted, what should I do? I have another essay from one of the other prompts"why are odd numbers odd?" which I thought was okay but my teacher said it needed a little cleaning and I would do better with a different essay. Should I send that one? It shows my quirky, creative side.

It’s too late to send in different essays, I think.

Okay, thanks!

I actually think that your essay will stick out! Its unlikely a lot of kids wrote about growing up on campus haha. Its a very competitive school though so I’d say its a reach. Best of luck!
Check out my thread if you can please

Solid, but not outstanding. Growing up on campus will help you stand out. You have a decent chance, but it’s still a reach.
