Essays (rating 1-10, details): Common App Essay (9, it was about lessons learned from raising chickens and very heartfelt), for the specialized U Chicago essay I chose the one about apples and oranges (7, it was well-written but I think I tried too hard to make it quirky)</p>

<p>Strengths: Siemens semifinalst and other good awards, essays were well-written and thoughtful, one fantastic recommendation, decent leadership positions, ACT score
Weaknesses: Probably the lowest GPA I’ve seen on these forums
