No ED. Just EA to U of C and first round (or whatever they call it) to UW-Madison.
Penn ED
UMich EA and Northeastern EA.
But if I get into UChicago, the only way I can see myself attending one of the above is if Chicago is destroyed by fire again.
@NotVerySmart I did the same thing - EA UChicago, UMich, and Northeastern! UChicago is definitely my first choice.
UChicago is my first choice, but I applied EA to Case Western Reserve University.
The rest of my schools I’m applying to are RD.
Oh wait I also EA to NEU and CWRU and a few accelerated programs
accepted at my state flagship already as well
@HariboGoldBear sure! PM it over.
I went for UChicago, MIT, and Caltech EA. Like all 3 equally
Cornell ED
Has anyone gotten likely letters yet?
At this stage the only likely letters that go out are for recruited athletes. So if you’re not an athlete don’t sweat it!
Results will be out in a few weeks; there’s hardly any point in sending out likely letters at this point.
@Livingteen1209 Recruited track athlete, awaiting likely!
@gearsstudio Someone on cc has gotten a likely
@KdotTrack I don’t think they send likelies all at once so hang in there!
If it shows on the first page(s) of your common app that your application fee was waived will colleges be able to tell that you’re low income?
@Lift35 Yes. UChicago fee waivers are automatically applied for poor students (i.e anyone applying for aid).
And if you’re a US citizen you should worry less because they are need blind
@Livingteen1209 assuming great academic achievement and good EC’s, does being low income help the student in that situation?
What did you guys write about in your “Why UChicago” essays?
For my “Why UChicago essay”, I wrote about how the University of Chicago is one of the only colleges in the country to offer a molecular engineering major, and how that discipline appeals to me and that I intend to major in it.
