has anyone received confirmation on the early afternoon release time? i checked last year’s post and it seemed like decisions came out around 4:30, can anyone confirm?

@whatisalie I thought I would feel the same way after I got rejected from Caltech and deferred from MIT. It sucks, but you get over it. Pretty fast. Wallow in your pity for a few minutes, let your friends and family cheer you up, and then live your life!

@jacobpilawa If you want confirmation of your future, here it is: anyone who’s a semi-competitive applicant for UChicago is in the top 2-3% of HS students nationwide, and most such kids will do well wherever they go. You’ll succeed whether you’re in Chicago this time next year or somewhere else entirely.
This applies to everyone else here as well. I’d tell everyone to relax, but that would be tantamount to saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.”
@tutututututuru: I follow their normal UChicago Instagram, but the one that requested me was a different one (UChicago has Instagrams for everything, haha). I’m not assuming this is a sign of my acceptance, but I sure do wish it was.

@Mochis1 The same exact thing happened to me. It was some page like “homeboxoffice.chicago” (which only had one photo related to UChicago), but I doubt it means anything in terms of admission.
