waitlisted! honestly i am shocked, naviance was SO not in my favor. I was ready for that total L, so it’s nice that it’s more like a lowercase L now.
Rejected 33 ACT 4.0 uw and valedictorian and 10 AP’s
Son was waitlisted & also asked if he wanted a Gap Year for class of 2023 admission.
Anyone get that?
Everyone gets that who is waitlisted
I think I found somewhere that 3.5% are accepted off of the waitlist
@bldtchr Wow I’m so surprised!! My stats are about the same as you
Waitlisted. Oh well, you can’t win them all. I thought this was my best app; essays were extremely focused on UChicago and were fun and informative. BTW, I was also rejected from Discover UChicago (for those who track these things). For that reason, I didn’t have much hope, even though I was really interested in the molecular engineering program.
However I did send in a musical portfolio since I’ve been playing piano since I was 4, but music isn’t my major
Is the any idea about the percentage that get in off the gap year offer?
@itbit My D wasn’t offered a 2023 admission with a gap year,so not all on the waitlist are offered that.
It should be on the waitlist form that you fill out
My son’s was right under the accept / reject waitlist offer.
@clvmsy thank you! Wasn’t aware of that.
Does anyone have anymore info about this gap year offer? I got it, but I was wondering how many people get the offer and how many people get the actual offer of “hey, would you like to join us for the Class of 2023?”
Wait, so not everyone gets the 2023 option? I just said yes to that because I figured it made sense to keep all my options open at this point.
Omg I got in!! 34 Act 3.92 GPA
Congrats!
Waitlisted guyss
I would said no to 2023 because I would never take a gap year
MIT broke my heart on wednesday, but like I’m known to say, there’s always time for the tables to turn! so excited to have been accepted! @anyone on this thread disappointed as i’ve been in the past - keep your heads up because i promise it’s time for the tables to turn for you too
Yeah same, I said no to gap but accepted the waitlist offer
