<p>I also applied to Georgetown (hello again, neontissues), whose decision I am also nervously awaiting at the moment (and they use snail mail!). Georgetown is my number one but I think I would be very happy at UChicago. Disregarding safeties, I am also applying to Stanford, Yale, and Northwestern even if I get into either UChicago or Georgetown this month, and if not probably also WashU and possibly Vanderbilt and Penn. I also applied to Cambridge and LSE in England.</p>

<p>and it was kinda awkward today in class we watched the freakonomics documentary and when it cut to Levitt, people were like “is he sitting in buckingham palace?”. i was like “no, that’s uchicago, isn’t it beautiful?” and everybody went 0-o at me.</p>

<p>@impressionistic, arghhh i really wanted to apply to LSE and cambridge, but then i found out cambridge’s deadline was oct 15 and i was SO. DEVASTATED. stoopid me. </p>
<p>i also realize now that moving to a new city for college is already exciting enough as it is; settling down in a new country would be too overwhelming for me (not to mention expensive). i swear though, i WILL visit and live in the UK sometime in my life. such a fangirl of everything brit…</p>
<p>At least Uchicago has awesome study abroad programs, including England!</p>
<p>Yeah, it sounds amazing but when I think about the logistics of it I think I would be terrified, especially moving to London! Who knows though, I’ll see how it plays out. I really want to do study abroad in so many places, and the one thing I dislike is Georgetown would expect me to study in a Spanish-speaking country because (SFS applicant) my target language would be Spanish. I seriously just want to take 6 months off and go tour all of Britain. I’m a history nut but I especially love British history and the castles and architecture is so gorgeous. Gah. Maybe I’ll manage to get a job in the UK post-graduation…that would be amazing.</p>

Especially Tom Hiddleston. Yum. I haven’t watched Buffy yet because I don’t want to rush through it binge-watching, I want to take my time and appreciate it. It’s definitely high on my to-watch list, though (just as soon as I get caught up on Doctor Who!)</p>
