May the force be with you all! #srynotsry #couldn’tresist

JGOPJIYKOEYKLDSGMKNLSDJHPSHD. How will I sleep tonight?

International IB diploma student here lol

You guys should check out 140 on Steam, awesome game :D

So the number of hours left is officially in single digits now. #butterflies

What time would the decisions be released?

IB diploma student here too lol
Apparently, according to stats on the IBO, Uchicago accepts 60% of IB candidates who apply :D.

http://dasd-sharepoint.dasd.org/Schools/STEMAcademy/Documents/IB_University_Acceptance_Rates.pdf

I assume?

Look carefully. It’s out-dated and has self-selection involved.

So freaking nervous, not gonna lie

Everyone from HK - I’m going to be getting up at 6:15AM… I have ‘late arrival’ for school that day (which means I’m supposed to get to school by 9:10) so I’ll try to go back to sleep afterwards. I don’t know if I’ll be able to fall asleep no matter what the decision is though…

My stomach is churning. Ugh. And I have to go volunteer today, for like 10 hours. ARRRGGHHH.

@Marshmellowish Well, I can’t tell you much, it ruin it all
What I can say is technology advanced to basically a utopia, and then 99.999% of the population is wiped out by a plague. Several hundred years later, survivors are still living on the outskirts of a mega city. One of these survivors, an orphan, starts to realize that the plague wasn’t exactly what it seemed to be. Also, don’t feel bad, you got almost twice as far as I did!

Good luck guys!

@jcxlcc: Dude. I. Am. Not. Sleeping.

@Torvor: Awwwww poor you! And lol, ten hours of volunteering? Dayum. Your novel sounds really interesting, though, you should definitely finish it
(and let the rest of us CCers read it before it gets published or something so we can be hipsters and say, “Pffft, I read it before it was even out for sale, kiddo. Try harder.”)

@Marshmellowish Nah, not poor me. Between now and Saturday I’ll be putting in about 60 hours volunteer time, as I do every week. It’s just kind of my thing. I’m the head server for a community restaurant, and it’s just going to be difficult training my servers at 4:00 PM tonight, not knowing
. Thank you! There were a few key things in it that would hopefully distinguish it from other scifi. I also really wanted to learn how to write with a more “Classical” style and feel, I felt it would add something to it.

@Torvor: Woah, you’re seriously dedicated! Props to you (y) As for writing with a more “classical” style, I’m going to go all Bukowski and Hemingway on you and just say that your style is generally best for your storytelling
Lol why do I have this feeling that you’d like ^both authors

@Marshmellowish the line between dedication and foolishness is a very fine line
For example, I have to leave now to walk a mile in ten degree weather to the building. You say dedication, I say foolish
And I don’t know, I haven’t read anything by either of them… I really did avoid classics…

Try Les Miserables. It’s really touching, methinks.

@Torvor: Pffft don’t lie, you actually like volunteering there, and that makes all the difference!
And you should definitely read them both, they’ll provide you with entirely different styles/subject material/perspectives than say, an eighteenth century novel like P&P, and are great writers in themselves (y) Sometimes reading too much what other people think are “classics” can actually be a detrimental thing to your writing though, so just chilllllll :D

@Skyrior: One of my favourites! The musical is also awesome <3

MARSHMELLOWISH IS THE MOST INTERESTING PERSON IN THE WORLD BOW DOWN TO HER YOU PEASANTS!

lol jk.

Please ignore International95; we’ve just exchanged essays and we’re both blown away by what the other wrote

I’m like 99% sure International95 is going to get in

NO, 99.999999999%, PEEPS

ALSO, WE’RE LIKE TWINS, IN A FREAKISHLY CREEPILY WEIRD KIND OF WAY

lol.

Okay that is not going to happen. YOU, ON THE OTHER HAND, WILL DEFINITELY GET IN YOU AMAZING WRITER YOU ARE SO BRILLIANT AHHHHHHHHH

The twin thing, yes. When I read her stats thing, I was like, OMG WHEN DID I POST? LOL
