<p>That international student financial aid email does indicate something. Uchicago practices “need aware” for international applicants, which means that financial aid will impact the admission decision. Since the email indicates that international students have until Dec 15th to apply financial aid, it implies that the admission is probably not finalized yet and won’t be finalized until Dec 15th, at least for international students.</p>
