UChicago EA Applicants 2019

How exactly did UChicago announce when EA decisions were coming out??? I didn’t get an email

https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu

@Localdreamer15‌ i think it’s literally just an email that says “hey your decision is ready. go look” and then you can prepare yourself and log into your account. idk though…all of the colleges i’ve applied to have emailed me with like congratulations in the subject line but chicago (and tufts) said they will notify us when it’s ready so i don’t think it’ll be that way

@Localdreamer15‌ "Early Action Decisions
Early Action decisions will be avabilable in your UChicago Account on Wednesday, December 17th in the late afternoon. You will receive an email when your decision is ready. "

@sofritachipotle‌ oh thanks! I was thinking I didn’t get an email because they thought I was applying regular for some reason and I almost had a heart attack

@sofritachipotle‌ Thank you! I won’t be home, so loading on my phone will be suspenseful! Btw, Chipotle is da booooombbbbb

Yeha @sofritachipotle‌ your pic make me hungry. But I want you to keep the pic since I like it. Looks awesome. And for your exam, I am sorry. I only have easy classes this year since I had already taken several AP classes last year… But still I have one more paper to finish. HURRAY!

@Gloria0FiWovin‌ ; I would highly suggest checking your UChic account to confirm you didn’t do Regular by mistake and Common App of course. As a precaution.

@Localdreamer15‌ ; I think I’ll go out with my buds that day to chill and cry if need be. Lol.

@JK0919‌ ; I’m current eating Vegetarian Manchurian Ramen xD I am glad you like the pic. As do I. I wish I could take easy classes. But this dual enrollment program forces AP as out high school classes. I’ll have 10 APs done by the end of this year and 14 dual enrollment classes excluding labs. lol. O have to survive Gen Chem II and Physics one next semester, so if I make it to UChic, it’ll get a load off my shoulder. Woot you are nearly done. Partayyyyy

@sofritachipotle‌ Wow ten APs?? Our school only has four AP classes Perk of being a student from a small school but really, I am so surprised how studious and smart you are. You should be accpeted to UChicago. They want someone who is willing to accpet a challlenge like what you are doing for this year.

@sofritachipotle Wow, 3 QB finalists to UChicago? In the same school? That makes me jealous. I’m a QB finalist too whose first College Match choice was UChicago but did not get in. Hence anxiously waiting for EA right now…

it sucks because i’m probably going to be crushed on wednesday because an acceptance is unlikely, but i think i’d rather have that than this uncertainty

so i know this is uchicago ea but i applied ED to Tufts and in one of my essays i wrote about how me and my mom always talking openly about everything (i.e bodily functions, pooping). the admissions officers are so chill and my counselor said that my supplements were good but now im afraid i miss judged them. do you think i shouldn’t have talked about that??? i didn’t go into great detail obv but i did use the word poop at least twice in my essay ugh BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE THOSE 2 LETTERS

@Awflapjackz‌ Well I have my last day of final right thursday. I do not know how I would survive to study if I do not get in. I know I would not, but still it does not keep me from being crushed. haha :)>-

@Awflapjackz I’m getting ready to be heartbroken here. At least us EA applicants get our applications viewed once more in RD …unless we get rejected

@JK0919‌ ; I’ve technically moved schools 3 times. Hence more APs at different schools. Lol.

This year my work load is 3APS and 6 dual enrollment. I am not taking 10 at the same time. Lol. That would be cray.

@RDTroll‌ ; They are from different schools. A total of 51 made it in to UChic from the US from QB. I was a finalist, but I did not rank.

@sofritachipotle‌ Yes, I know every year 50 something QB applicants get into UChicago through College Match, and that it’s an amazingly large number compared to other QB partner schools. Btw, you could still apply to UChicago EA? Were you offered to do so by UChicago after College Match?

@Awflapjackz‌ One of my buds helped me get through MIT uncertainty. Have a little faith.

@marilo12‌ ; Don’t worry about it. It’s been done. Lol.

@JK0919‌ ; I have finals tomorrow and Tuesday and going on a field trip Friday. Woo.

@RDTroll‌ ; I decided to apply EA TO UChic without QB Though. I’m glad a did. Put out my best essay by far.

@sofritachipotle‌ Curious, why did you decide to apply without QB? was there a reason why you did that

@RDTroll‌ I didn’t rank because it would have been binding, & I wanted to apply EA to GaTech, before I realized GaTech’s financial aid isn’t swell. After my interview, where I said my favorite fruit was a cebolla aka onion, there was a sign, UChicago extended their deadline. I decided to EA UChicago, and I’m glad I did. Within about 3 days I put out an awesome essay from my POV. And I fell in love with UChic after learning they had a Molecular Engineering Program which would push through to become a Bachelor degree. Plus they have Sofrita up there. XD Florida just got Sofrita like a month ago. I first ate it in D.C. during my internship.
