I am sure if your coach gave you that promise, you will be fine. Also, you might have higher stats than most athletes…good luck!
I wonder why there is so much delay to release the NOTIFICATION date… Nevermind the actual decisions…
What sport?
Let’s stop spreading the rumor that EA will be impossible this year. That’s all it is: conjecture. It’s not helpful at all actually.
anyone from Georgia that applied EA/ED?
Will they post the date on their twitter?
december 17, on their website
Where does it say December 17?
I think 12/17 was for a few years ago. the current one still says mid-december: https://collegeadmissions.uchicago.edu/apply/applicants/firstyear
nooo i don’t want to wait longer
12/16 is the hopeful date though, according to some phone calls to the admissions office and current uchicago students
Last year it was posted on their FB page so I’d be checking there. So far for this year: no word yet.
@broijustwanttogotocollege EA applicant from Woodstock, GA here! And your username just happens to be the story of my life rn
@broijustwanttogotocollege ED, proud Atlantan
I just checked UChicago Admissions fb page. Nothing posted yet.
Finally logged into my old CC account just for this thread. The anxiety is killing me, and watching my friends get deferred from their dream schools before I even know the release date for mine is disheartening. Wishing you all good luck!
I’ve been checking the UChicago Admissions Twitter every four hours. That’s where they posted the date last year.
Here’s a tip: when you run out of college acceptance/denial videos to watch, watch dorm move-in videos. They’re just as stressful and exciting
I’m an athlete and got my likely letter/acceptance on October 25th! I was told, by my coach, we’d get our official letters this week.
@user243576. Congratulations on likely letter! You don’t need to count down like the rest of us! Did you apply ED before receiving the likely letter (was that a requirement)? And was there any way for you to get an early read as to possibility of a merit scholarship? I know you must have received an early read on your application, and I assume if you wanted one, you could have requested an early financial aid evaluation, but if a student is full-pay (no financial aid) is there a way to request a merit review prior to the November 1 ED application deadline? Thanks, I have athletes applying in future years.
