You should probably try to be a little more realistic in grading your own essays and recommendations…

Anyway, you are a good candidate and you know that. But if that 3.76 GPA is weighted, I would say that’s a problem. Definitely puts you pretty far below the average at UChicago, I think.

If your essays are 10/10, then I would say U Chicago would be a match as Chicago weighs the essays really heavily.
They really like people who are quirky and think outside the box and really only essays can reflect that type of personality.

So, assuming your essays are 10/10, counselor rec is 1000/10, then I think you would get in, but the problem is that you’re not the one judging your admissions essays.

Admissions officers are and they might think differently of your essays.

@ChiefCelery Yeah my unweighted is 3.78 and my weighted is 4.78
